One of the easiest and simplest methods for improving fitness is to pull on a pair of running shoes, socks, shorts and an old T-shirt and go for a run – is it that simple? It can be.
However there is a fair degree of preparation before this to minimise damage to your body. In certain situations, it is recommended you are first checked out and obtain a medical clearance. The next step is to obtain a pair of proper fitting shoes. Consulting with a podiatrist is a good start to ensuring you’re in the right shoes for the type/distance of running you want to do.
At this point you are ready to commence training and here is where I enter the picture. Based on your level of fitness etc., I, as a professional sports coach, will design and develop a training program for you.
Together we take into account your aspirations, motivation, level of fitness, lifestyle, family/work/career and the demands on you.
I have coached numerous runners for distance events ranging from 5km fun runs through to full Marathons. I am passionate about seeing people strive and stretch themselves.
Feel free to give me a call/send me an e-mail. We can arrange a time to meet and have a free informal chat to discuss your athletic aspirations. We’ll then decide if there is an opportunity for us to work together.
Feel free to contact us with any questions surrounding your private Triathlon training needs or if you are interested in group training sessions. We are willing to cater to whatever training needs you require.
