Volume 2 Inspired Cycling Detailed Listing (MP3)
Inspired Cycling (Volume 2) can be purchased as a Full Set in MP3 format, comprising of all 6 training sessions, as well as individually.
SKEWERED IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE [63min]
This is one of the toughest sessions in the entire Inspired Cycling library
(the 1st 32 min for sure). Accept the challenge of transitioning from flat road
to hill climb over a 90sec interval at 3 different cadences/gearing, all the
while working just shy of your MHR (Max. Heart Rate).
CATACLYSMIC CLUSTER [72min]
You want to improve your capacity to build/increase your ability to go
harder longer. Can you sustain a consistent effort across 24 x 1min intervals?
At the same time all the while you are working above Lactate Threshold - your
lungs and legs will burn, however you will become stronger on the bike and
develop the capacity to withstand pain just that little bit longer.
ENTER THE LION’S DEN [70min]
Have you wondered what it’s like to participate in a mountain stage on a grand
tour? What it’s like to be exposed to incessant/repeated attacks from some of
the finest climbers in the world in evenly spaced intervals. Climb with the best
and when they attack you and look behind them, there you are – perched on
their back wheel.
CHAIN RING BONDAGE [85min]
This session places massive demands on both your cardio vascular system and
muscular strength. It’s about developing real endurance/strength on the bike.
10 intervals in progressively heavier gearing will enhance your belief in your
ability to transfer power to your pedals and build amazing self–belief.
ALPINE ASSAULT [66min]
A hill-climb training session with repeated accelerations. This is where you lead
the peloton up the mountain and progressively put the pack under pressure
with structured attacks. These attacks will have both you and your opponents
pushing beyond Lactate Threshold – if you have the strength, they will not pass
but simply hang onto your back wheel for dear life.
A HIPPO IN THE JACUZZI – WATCH OUT [79min]
If you go too hard early on in a stage race, you’ll “blow up” and having nothing
left at the finish. Experience a mix of flat roads and hill climbs, where intensity
builds progressively. The big question is will you contest the finish or be one
of the ‘also rans’. Control your build up and you’ll be in contention – don’t
and it’s race over.
