A hill-climb training session with repeated accelerations. This is where you lead

the peloton up the mountain and progressively put the pack under pressure

with structured attacks. These attacks will have both you and your opponents

pushing beyond Lactate Threshold – if you have the strength, they will not pass

but simply hang onto your back wheel for dear life.

A HIPPO IN THE JACUZZI – WATCH OUT [79min]

If you go too hard early on in a stage race, you’ll “blow up” and having nothing

left at the finish. Experience a mix of flat roads and hill climbs, where intensity

builds progressively. The big question is will you contest the finish or be one

of the ‘also rans’. Control your build up and you’ll be in contention – don’t
